A beautiful late 60s/early 70s psychedelic floral hippie sleeveless maxi dress by Carlye. (Carlye Dress Corporation was formed in 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri and was one of the great junior dress houses. Sometime before 1967, Carlye was bought by clothing manufacturing giant Leslie Fay.) It also has a "Nancy Powers" label. Amazing bright colors, scoop neckline, darting at bust, empire waist, pockets and a zipper closure on the back. The skirt is lined with "SiBonne!". In good vintage condition with some minor pilling to material, part of the bottom seam underneath is starting to come undone (will eventually need to be reinforced), a few faint spots to the pink stripe closest to pockets and a little wear to the side of the left strap. All not noticeable, but I like to note everything! Estimated to be a small, but please check the measurements below.
LABEL: Carlye and Nancy Powers
MATERIAL: not listed-- seems like a polyester/nylon blend-- it's quite thick. "SiBonne!" Lining
