Vintage 60s NEW Margaret Smith Maine Shoulder Bag

Margaret Smith started out making beach totes for her friends in Maine, who encouraged her to found her own handbag company, which she did in the 1940s. Typically designed with floral prints, her bags were sold in high end shops and department stores in the 1950s and 60s. This cream floral pleated frame bag is in mint condition. It’s approx 13” x 13” (there’s a ruler in some of the photos). It has a rich blue silk lining. Rare bag from a classic female designer. Two handles. NWOT.
