Vintage 60s Siam Boutique William Morris Marigold Print Mod Scooter Dress, Large

Quintessential mod scooter-style dress, ca. mid to late 1960s, by Siam Boutique and made with a William Morris-print fabric in the well-known "Marigold" pattern. Its belted waist and pleated skirt feature an unusual construction: Under the belt is a narrow buttoned panel that hides the bottom of the metal zipper and forms the right half of the center pleat. This appears to help keep the structure of the skirt in place--so you could likely actually ride a scooter in this dress without the back flying all over! Belt has a working buckle plus a hook-and-eye fastening at the end. Dress was made in Thailand of "Thai Tetoron Cotton," a cotton/poly blend that feels all-cotton, but doesn't wrinkle like it! SIZE: Labeled size 14; appears true to size. But go by the garment dimensions and your measurements to determine fit. This woven fabric does not stretch. We suggest you compare to a dress you have of similar style or fit. I see little to no signs of wear and no flaws.
