Vintage 7” Hand Thrown Studio Pottery Crock with Handles - Rich & Darleen Binder

Design is very 90s with its bright and festive colors. No chips, cracks or crazing. A beautiful piece that is well made. Identified: Rich and Darleen Binder had a private studio in Arvada, CO from 1990 to 2000. They mainly sold at the Arvada Center, events over the years, especially around the Holidays they became very popular locally in the Arvada and surrounding cities like Wheatridge and Broomfield. Heavily influenced by Spanish, Portuguese and Italian pottery, The glaze is a Majolica. She dipped it in white glaze and brushed in the other colors and did a little Sgraffito on them as well. Darleen is from Sandiego and Richard is a native of Arvada. They both graduated with arts degrees but Richard is the one with the degree in ceramics.
