Vintage 70's Cadoro Jewelry necklace (choker) custom designed with wood beads and carved birds in earthy tones of blue, green, brown, and cream. The beads are separated by small silver colored squares and silver tubes and 6 hand carved birds.
The necklace is approximately 15" long and fits snuggly around the neck. It has a small makers tag attached that says CADORO with the copyright symbol underneath.
Cadoro Jewels Corporation, was a Manhattan-based jewelry company from 1954 to 1987. Founders Steven Brody and Daniel Stoenescu launched the corporation on Fifth Avenue and were known for their inventive jewelry using chenille, plastics, crystals, brushed gold, and enamel. They sold the jewelry via department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The company closed in 1987 when Steven Brody retired as president. *information from Wikipedia
