This 1970s' all-weather trench coat by Principe Imports is the best trench I've ever had; it's got it all! In addition to the huge lapels and wide-placket pockets (with working buttons), it has:
* raglan sleeves with shoulder epaulets, adjustable cuff straps with leather-covered buckles, belt with sturdy metal buckle
* double-breasted style that can be buttoned on either side
* hidden button tab at bottom that can be used to close the coat more snugly
* chin strap/throat latch to better protect against wind and rain
* wool zip-out liner
* colorful, silky lining with glove or phone pockets and small pocket for keys, change, etc.
* back walking vent with button
* front storm flap and faux back yoke flap
Shell appears to be a sturdy cotton poplin and is reinforced with stiff interfacing along the collars, down the front, and in the pocket plackets. Seaming along the collar lines makes the lapels stay put (a sign of excellent design).
Excellent to near mint; can't have been worn much.
Labeled size 40R. But go by the coat's measurements and yours. For overcoats, you should leave about 4" to 6" over your body measurements, depending on what you typically wear underneath. We suggest you measure a similar-style coat that fits you well and compare dimensions.
Measured without liner in; that will take up maybe another inch.
* Chest: 46"
* Waist: 47"
* Hips: 48"
Sleeve Length: 33" down outer seam from base of neck at seam
Coat Length: 40" from approx. top of shoulder
