Vintage 70’s R&K Originals Hostess gown; NWT Groovy Metallic Disco

This is an exciting find. This dress has never been worn! To find a dress this age with tags still attached is truly a rarity. And she is so beautiful! The bodice is woven through with fine silver thread, which gives her a beautiful shimmer, and the rhinestone buttons and buckle add even more sparkle. The velvet skirt has a side slit, the edges of which are lined with pink satin, for a flash of color when walking. She’s really just so elegant. The only flaws are two small areas of irregularity on the sash; one of which is hidden when fastened. The other seems to be an impression from some kind of object laid on the dress. It might iron out. There is a very faint “eau de thrift store”, that is typical to vintage clothing. Normally I would give her a bath to freshen her up. But I don’t want to detach or damage the tags. The tags say size 14, but that is not comparable to a modern sz. 14, so please refer to the measurements if you want to wear this beautiful dress. And I hope you do, because she deserves to be shown off. Measurements (flat): W: 14 in. B: 17 in. H: 19 in. Sleeve length: 23 in. Waist to hem: 35 in. Shoulder to hem: 51 in.
