Vintage 80’s Ballerina tutu decorated sweater Silk

Vintage handmade sweater from Russian tutu costume design pieces, black , Silk & angora wool Silver & White sequined flowers. Maria (name on tag) was a ballerina from Moscow. She defected from Russia with her son in 1979 and as a single mother on the East Coast in the 1980’s she survived by teaching ballet for Michigan Ballet Theater and making sweaters from the same costume elements that used on the imported Russian tutu’s.
