Vintage 80s Susan Bristol Raspberry Pink Sparkle Trim Lambswool Sweater

Liven up your wardrobe with this ravishing gem of a sweater by Susan Bristol. Vintage from the 80s, this gorgeous piece is knit from 70% fine lambswool, 20% ultra-luxurious angora rabbit and 10% nylon for a sumptuously soft and warm sweater that is at the same time lightweight and breathable. Made in the U.K., it’s incredibly high-quality, on par with today’s designer-level pieces. The glorious raspberry pink color is extraordinary--bracing and complex and resplendent. It's just so visually appealing! A beautiful shade of pink to instantly energize your outfit and create a wonderful focal point. The sweater's seams are trimmed with darling little beads that glimmer in the light with a silvery sparkle. The shimmery metallic beads are translucent but have a glassy, reflective quality that photos don't capture. They bring so much movement and life to this knit and give it a couture quality that's just magical. Plus, the bead embroidery is a genius way of highlighting the garment's construction, which I think makes this feel very contemporary! There is a small section of beading missing on the back (see last photo), but it's in an area where it would be hard to notice (especially if you're wearing a coat/jacket!) and it would be easy for a tailor or seamstress to fill in the gap. Otherwise this sweater is in excellent condition! Wear it with jeans and sneakers or a fabulous pleated skirt and blazer with heels! This sweater is something special. One for the knitwear hall of fame.
