Vintage 90s Mod 100% Silk Asian Blouse Top, Red Silk Asian Top, Kimono Style. Custom made in China. Gorgeous 1980s Vintage 100% Silk Oriental Top Blouse with Stylish Red Embroidery Detail, Size Medium (it’s labeled a XL, but see measurements below). Made in China by Suzhou Lingyun Clothing Co., Ltd. Made of 40% Mulberry Silk and 60% Regular Silk. Mulberry silk is considered the highest quality of silk available. It is typically more expensive than other types of silk due to its production process. The distinctive Mulberry Silk comes from the Mobus Alba tree, which is indigenous to China. The plant does not naturally generate silk. Rather, it is produced by the leaf-eating Bombyx mori moth, which farmers collect from its cocoon. The moth, which is often a caterpillar at this point before changing into an adult, exclusively consumes white mulberry leaves. This guarantees that almost every component of cocoon material is present in Mulberry Silk. Measures - Shoulder to Shoulder is 16” inches, Pit to Pit is 18” inches and the length is 24” inches.
