Vintage 90s y2k vinyl faux leather bootcut pants

I love these, but haven’t worn them in a long time. They’re vintage from I think late 90s. Pretty sure I had them in high school. The fabric around the button has developed a small tear in it (it does still button) and on the back there’s some “wet” looking marks. It’s not wet, so I don’t know what it is. I never noticed until I had the overhead light reflecting off of it. These are very high waist and bootcut. No stretch. BB Dakota pret a porter.
