The one-of-a-kind, Vintage, Taxco, Mexican, Apple colored -Lime Green Turquoise & Sterling Silver Oval Linked Bracelet with Toggle Clasp and safety chain is a hefty chunk of solid sterling silver, weighing in just shy of ☆40 GRAMS☆, at 39.28 grams! It is said that only 3% of the turquoise mined at Carico Lake comes out "apple green". I believe this bracelet falls into that category, because it is somewhere between the electric green, mined there, and the blue green which is much more common, yet still beautiful. The bracelet is stamped 'MEXICO', 'M-25', and '925', 3 separate times, on the backside of the oval cabochons, and it has been tested, and is, indeed, 925 sterling silver. It's a stunning and unique piece, handmade with excellent craftsmanship, and it is in perfect condition aside from slight fading of the turquoise, which is inevitable, as turquoise naturally fades over time. and this bracelet has lived through many decades.(around 6 decades if i had to guess).
I don't like to use the word rare, but in all my searching i have seen very few bracelets, that are authentic vintage taxco turquoise in this style, and never one in this color lime green turquoise. which leads me to believe that there are not many out there... It will, undoubtedly, be a great addition to any southwest collection, plus, a guaranteed conversation starter if you decide to wear it out on the town! 💚

@ganczha.🫢you could be right. I'm basing it only off of research I've done. so it's possible that I'm wrong. what kind of turquoise do you think it is?
carlie_scott
while trying to determine what kind of turquoise it was, i read that there is a solid lime green strand of caraco turquoise, and I couldn't find that exact description for any other type of turquoise. and the location made sense also, since it was found close to Mexico. but I wasn't positive, so if you have more information, I'm always eager to learn.

@carlie_scott I have set with the same stone and was looking for the description, but it just said green turquoise. The Lake Carico turquoise pieces I’ve seen are from Nevada and I understood were recently mined. Mexico doesn’t usually import stones for jewelry because of cost, that’s what I giving this a hmmm…. I have another set with yellow, green and lime swirled stones in Mexican silver and I have no idea where to get that stone identified. Google search didn’t yield any answers.
