Vintage Alice Caviness Amber & Black Onyx Cluster Filigree Clip Earrings Done in the Miriam Haskell style...these onyx & filigree earrings have entwined crystal beads and Italian swirl glass beads. The Alice Caviness Jewelry Company began in 1943 and later opened a showroom in New York in 1949. Some sterling/enamel pieces were imported from Europe, specifically Germany, and sold under the Caviness name. Two designers, Millie Petronzio and Lois Steever helped steer the design team and won numerous awards as a result. Caviness pieces are usually of a very high quality and intricacy.
