Vintage Amber Bakelite Bead Necklace - Choker length

16 inch (choker length) beautiful necklace with nine 20mm balls of tested Bakelite. They strung between sliver plated hardware and secured with a sturdy fold-over clasp. The Bakelite beads are a beautiful Amber/Butterscotch color. They are polished and solid - no seams. The beads as well as the necklave are in excellent condition. The silver plating is a bit worn but not very noticeable. It tested to be Bakelite! - see last photo - simichrome polish turns changes from pink to yellow if Bakelite Bakelite is an early plastic, created in 1907 (before Lucite). For jewelry, Bakelite was sliced, molded or carved to create the shape of the piece. N-378
