Retired in 2014, this doll from 1993 is part of the Addy Walker Historical Collection and is rare and hard to fine.
Contains first edition doll and Meet Outfit (dress, stockings, boots, drawers, and hair ribbon), and Meet Addy paperback book by Connie Porter.
Double pink (or cinnamon pink) day dress.
Fabric has fine white wavy lines and dots in vertical "stripes".
Dropped shoulders.
Straight sleeves.
Rounded collar.
Translucent white buttons down the front of the dress. Skirt hem comes to about mid-calf, the length appropriate for a girl of about eight to ten years of age during her time period.
Velcros up the back and around the wrists.
Black knit stockings that reach to the knees.
Elastic tops.
Black lace-up boots with black grommets and a cap-toe style.
Black shoe laces.
Stiff black soles.
White cotton "drawers" trimmed with lace; elastic waistband in the back.
A 1/4" wide navy blue satin hair ribbon
Condition: Gently used with minimal signs of wear. I was not allowed to play with my dolls. I have not attempted to launder this doll and garments in any way.

This first edition Addy dolls has a clothing tag with copyright date of 1986.
This early Addy doll also had West Germany tagged clothing, even though West Germany ceased to exist with the end of the Soviet Union in 1990.
Addy was intended to represent African-Americans during the tail end of the Civil War era and the early Reconstruction Era
