Vintage American Greetings Gigi collector's edition plate

1972 Gigi American Greetings Collector's Edition "Put on a Happy Heart" Decorative Plate. White with Blue Trim and Girl with Fiddle & Dog. This is a charming vintage 1972 American Greetings collector's edition plate featuring the popular big eyed girl Gigi and her Scotti dog. Gigi dances through the grass in a red t-shirt and denim overalls as she serenades her puppy with a tune on her fiddle. She wears a crown flowers in her hair. There's no way to tell if this little flowerchild was in San Francisco, but the inscription on the plate reminds us all to "Put on a Happy Heart." This decorative plate measures approximately 10⅜" in diameter. It is in excellent vintage condition with no visible flaws. It is signed G.(Guntra) Graudins. The artist's work was featured on many American Greetings cards and items. She is also an author and illustration of children's books. You may have guessed her nickname is GG. After marrying she continued her art work and created the Enesco Little Kitchen Fairy line of figurines, which are also highly collectible today, under the name of Guntra Santiago.
