Hermann Boker emigrated and founded H. Boker & Co. in New York in the late 19th century to import and sell Solingen, Germany-made tools, razors, and cutlery. This horn (or tusk?) handled corkscrew has been in our family for many decades, and it was made in Germany, most likely pre-WWI. There was a spike at the wide end of the handle, as a hole remains, but other than that it is in good antique used condition. The corkscrew is quite heavy for its size and is inscribed with “H. Boker & Co.” and Germany on the shaft. A unique and usable keepsake for any oenophile. B9
