Vintage Antique Maple Wood COPEX France Wine Opener Mid Century Vintage Copex wooden corkscrew-made in France-circa 1950s. This piece was imported from France to the United States by the Copex Corkscrew Company of Algonquin, Illinois. It appears to be a hardwood like maple. There are minimal signs of use and the condition is great! It is marked on one side-COPEX-Made in France. "Copex, the corkscrew "pulls without pulling". Exhaustive tests conducted by the Wine Institute on behalf of the Wine Advisory Board proved the Copex superior in every respect. In competition with eighteen other corkscrews of domestic and foreign manufacture, the Copex outperformed all others, receiving the highest recommendation."
