Vintage Art Deco Vanity Hand Held Mirror Floral Back with brass Accent handle

This mirror is clean except for several spots of oxidation. Overall in Good Vintage Condition. Oxidization is normal for 1950’s - 1960’s mirrors because vintage mirrors are generally backed by a very thin sheet of reflective metal, like silver or gold, you can expect to notice some level of oxidization over time. Due to the accumulation of moisture seeping between the glass and the sheet of metal, oxidation will most likely be visible towards the bottom of the mirror. Any micro scratches or abrasions will also result in some amount of oxidization. Oxidization typically resembles dark blotches on the mirror, and is very rarely uniform. This Pear shaped mirror is inset in the Brass heavy duty metal frame which is supported with a solid scalloped brass handle. Measures 12” Tall from the top of the frame to the base of it’s handle, and 5” across the back panel. The Bakelite plastic back panel is covered with a dainty and delicate floral design with a brass accent centered between 2 clusters of red and gold colored flowers. 9-11-24
