Vintage Art Deco duette brooch pin by Paul Sargent white pearl silver

Wonderful vintage Duette brooch and clips by Paul Sargent. This is a convertible piece that can be worn as a brooch or as two dress or fur clips. The brooch frame has a mechanism where you push down on a spot and slide the clips off the duette frame. The clips have a brutalist style, bumpy design. Each clip has three white cultured pearl beads. Darkened, weathered silver tone metal with a hint of gold tone. The clips are toothed for extra grip. Signed on the back "Patent Pending Paul Sargent 14kp". This piece has a nice weighty feel. It likely was made around the 1930s. It does have some wear and dark patina consistent with age, but nothing major and lovely as is. Measures approx 2 5/8" long when assembled in the duette frame. Ships fast!
