This one-of-a-kind doll is a nod to the original, traditional peddler dolls made during the Victorian era Popular in England in the 16th through the 19th centuries, collectible ‘pedlar’ dolls were made to represent Old London street peddlers and their cries Hand painted, wrinkled face, old-fashioned granny spectacles, bead earrings, gem necklace, wooly gray granny hair with bun Dressed in a black knit woolen cape with hood and a floral, prairie dress, she carries everything she needs to appeal to her buyer's wants and desires In her arms she carries many odds-and-ends: sewing basket, knit blanket, wash board, rolling pin, toys, wire basket, lace, dried flowers, wrapped gifts, wicker baskets, blankets, fabric bolts, lantern, cuckoo clock, cooking pot and more!
