Vintage Artist's Trading Pin

1980's Miniature Collage Artist's Trading Pin. Similar to artist's trading cards, these pieces of hand-crafted jewelry were created by artists to swap at art gatherings and festivals. This one was made by a collage artist, using scraps of colored, patterned and printed papers, wrapped mylar string and gold findings arranged against a perwinkle blue ground. The jagged piece on the left side is actually dark navy blue with silver dottings. Accents of coral pink and maroon. Layered on tan chip board stock and backed with painted frog tape. Standard pin clasp. 1.75" high x 1" wide, with the little "finials" extending beyond that a little bit. Very well made, but delicate. A very unique handmade piece of jewelry and miniature piece of wearable art. Pretty cool.
