Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Pilot’s Glass “Tru Pilot” Arista Gold Plated 58[]16 Caravan Aviator Sunglasses True vintage B&L Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb USA sunglasses circa 1965-1973. Rare model that was limited in production. Unisex. Made in USA. New old stock and never worn, but have slight imperfections from 50+ years of storage. Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb “special coated” impact resistant mineral glass lenses with clear uncoated “windows” at the bottom. Dense highly reflective silver metallic mirror provides neutral density glare protection. The lenses are pre-B&L etching, non-prescription and ready for wear with 100% UV protection. Caravan lens shape. Designed to provide protection against bright sunlight and still give the pilot a clear, unobscured look at cockpit instruments. Would be a great style for anyone who enjoys drawing, painting, or reading outside. The right lens has a 1mm scratch, a pinprick, and a 1mm rub mark. Left lens has a very faint 2mm rub mark. 24K gold plated Arista metal frame with straight temples. Adjustable clear nosepads. Clear temple paddles. The top of the brow bar is impressed with B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A. Frame is in impeccable condition without any corrosion or pitting. Hinges operate well. Screws are removable.
