Vintage Bird & Foliage Gold Damescene Bracelet

A beautiful vintage gold Damescene link bracelet featuring a bird and foliage theme. The panel style links are etched 14kt gold overlay alternating flowers with leaves and birds with leaves in brilliant two tone gold. 7 1/2" in total length with a hidden slider clasp & safety chain. Marked ia which signifies Middle Eastern manufacture. In fine vintage condition. Almost new looking. Damescene is an art form that involves decorating metal by etching it and then overlaying with gold foil. It originated in Syria and was taken to Spain after the Moorish conquest around 711 AD.
