Vintage Birds & Flowers Japanese Chokin Plate

Vintage Japanese Chokin plate from 1980s. 24K rim and inside circle. Design is birds and cherry blossoms. 7 3/4 inches diameter. Plate is white porcelain. 24K sticker on back. 2 holes on back with cord for hanging. Information about the art of chokin on back, along with "Made in Japan for Westland Co.". Chokin dates back to the 6th century and is the technique of etching copper plate and gilding gold and silver. Good condition, no chips or cracks. Gold leaf good. Not for food use. Great for anyone who likes Chokin pieces, birds, flowers, and/or Japan items.
