Vintage Black Lace Bustier Dress

This lacy black dress with sheer long sleeves and a plunging sweetheart neckline is perfect for so many occasions. Classy and sexy, with just a hint of a femme fatale vibe (or black widow…think Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White in the film adaptation of “Clue”). I’ve never had the chance to wear it. Bought vintage; presumed/told from ‘80s, but looks classic, like a 40s-‘50s era cocktail dress. (see below for dress and mannequin* info): DRESS: - size 6 (of the time; closer to size 2 now) - reinforced wire bustier; cup size close to C - waist: 26” (66 cm); fabric has very little give. 27” max - length: 36” (91 cm), measured from shoulder to hem - hips: 37”-38” (94-97 cm) - fully lined (except sleeves) - “invisible” zippered back - some very minor pilling due to age.
