Vintage Black Velvet FUJI BAG 1950’s Metallic thread Beaded Clutch

Black velvet Fuji bag, post war Japan circa late 50’s. Fuji bags were sold at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo, Japan. Hand made with metallic gold thread and white and silver bead flowers on black velvet and sewn onto a paper frame. Closure is with a snap and someone has placed Velcro on either side for additional security. Inside the bag is a black faille lining with tiny pockets. Cloth label: “Fuji Bag All Hand Made.” Measurements: Across side to side: 8.5 inches Sides 2 inches Height: 5.25 inches Condition is very good. The silver foil beads have darkened to grey but they still sparkle. There are small worn spots on the faille inner lining near the bag crease, but nothing objectionable.
