Vintage Utah Tailoring Mills 40s Two Piece Skirt Jacket Suit Fabulous French Woolen Blin + Blin also provided the imported French fabrics for a good deal of Lilli Ann suits and coats. Lapel of collar has a stunning curve, narrowing to a shawl like style. Loose, swing body silhouette. Tailored pencil skirt. No tag material information but highly likely that it is a wool suit. Rich, saturated black with matching satin lining. Flat. smooth fabric, feels almost like fur, with a shimmer / shine. Others have claimed this is a mohair or eyelash, but I can’t be certain. Seems like a synthetic blended to get the glittering effect that catches the light. No size tags, approximate small. Skirt waistband 13.25” across flat Length 25 Jacket shoulder seams across 16 Length 27 Blazer fits loose a-line style in the body with structured shoulders. Fits a range of sizes. I’m a modern large and I can get it on, but it’s much too small. Tag is consistent with other garments from the 1940's - 1950's 50s Mid Century Upper shoulder shows a couple small texture imperfections where there are a couple tiny balding spots, the collar hiding one.
