Vintage Blue Ridge Southern Pottery Gravy Boat | Pattern "Bluebell Bouquet"
Gravy Boat is in awesome condition. Most Blue Ridge pottery has crazing but this piece does not.
This is a Blue Ridge Southern Potteries Gravy Boat in the "Bluebell Bouquet" pattern. It measures 7 1/2 inches at its widest point and 3 1/4 inches high. The base is 3 1/4 inches in diameter. This piece is in Very Good condition with the exception of a small chip on the bottom of the base (see photo). The price is reflecting this imperfection and is being sold "as-is". This is still a great value for this "hard-to-find" item.
Nostalgia and charm are two reasons collectors love collecting pieces of folk art known as Blue Ridge pottery. The plates and dishes made from the 1930s to 1950s by Blue Ridge Southern Potteries in southern Appalachia, feature bright colors and whimsical designs. Manufactured during the hard days of the Great Depression and World War II, they quickly became popular with homemakers as a way to bring a little cheerfulness into their homes.
