Vintage Dorothy Gray ladies compact . The compact is oval shaped with a Harlequin enameled mask on the lid with engraved incised ribbon. The compact is gold tone and has been polished to reflect its beauty and age . Circa 1940’s this compact has all hinges in excellent working condition . The large mirror is intact . The size is 3 x 4 inches . Highly collectible this is a book piece found in the book VINTAGE LADIES COMPACTS by Roselyn Gerson page 253. There is noted wear, patina on the gold metal and some enamel loss on the mask . These findings do not distract from the elegance of this collectible.
