In celebration of the historic railway line that ran throughout the Midwest and South Central United States from 1876-1980, this Americana Bridle Rosette was born. Its construction is solid brass with vintage artwork and domed glass, with a metal attachment that slides through the horse bridle. Rosette measures 1-5/8” in diameter with a 5-1/2” circumference and back attachment width of 1-1/8”.
Can be used for its intended purpose as a decorative and identification element for a horse bridle, as well as a treasured collectible for any lover of Americana memorabilia. Nice vintage condition with naturally occurring patina, circa 30's - 50's when these types of rosettes were being produced.
A bit of trivia: contrary to its name, the Frisco Line never stepped a wheel in San Francisco!
