Yes, the chest across while buttoned, armpit to armpit is 18.5", and going along the back from armpit to armpit it is almost 19", while buttoned. It does allow for extra room up top due to this, combined with button placement and strength/thickness of fabric. Sleeve length from shoulder seam to end of sleeve is 23.5" and from collar seam to end of sleeve is 29.75". Top back across shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 16.5" across.
