Vintage COACH NYC Serial No. Classic Shoulder Bag Pre 9170 ECU

This gorgeous Vintage Coach Red Leather Classic Shoulder Bag, was made in New York City at the Original Coach Leatherware Factory. It is a pre-style number 9170 (has a serial number) purse that was made before 1993, and has the Coach Leatherware Cartouche above the Creed. This stunning authentic purse was the original Coach Bag style that started it all…AND it is in amazing vintage condition! After 1993, this Coach Classic Shoulder Bag was given the style number 9170. The Red Classic Shoulder Bag listed here could have been made as early as 1978. Made using high quality red glove tanned leather and solid brass buckles, the simple design of this shoulder bag features a flap front with no closure, an unlined interior, a zippered back interior pocket, and a slip pocket under the flap. Approximate measurements are 10” wide, 8 1/2” high, 3 1/2” deep, with an adjustable shoulder crossbody strap measuring 14 1/2” at the shortest of four adjustments on each side. Please see all photos for condition. For being possibly close to 50 years old, this Classic Shoulder Bag is in Excellent Condition. There is visible veining on the front flap, and other inclusions to the leather which are natural. Sings of use are minimal. The original hangtag is missing. Comes cleaned using saddle soap, and newly conditioned with leather honey from a smoke free home.
