Vintage Calling Card Case

This Adalone Pearl Shell case was made in Dieppe Circa, France on 1870. It is in amazing condition. The velvet in the top is a little messed up, but honestly it's a very tiny detail in this absolutely extraordinary piece of history. In the 18/19 hundreds these cases held calling cards or business cards as we know them today. The appearance of the case showed your status in society and your business or personal success. These cases are slowly making a comeback in today society.
