Vintage Campfire Girls 1960’s Vest with Beads and Patches

Vintage Campfire Girls 1960’s Vest with Beads and Patches. Fun and colorful Camp Fire Girls vest. Some little girl spent a lot of time earning all the beads and patches and then sewing them to her vest. The vest is hand made and a wool blend. Later years, the vests were purchased and made of felt with a CFG tag. The CFG were known for using Native American symbols and styles and this can be seen with the beautiful patch on the back of the vest. The motto of the Campfire Girls, "WoHeLo," stood for "work, health, love. The primary purpose of Camp Fire was to promote service to others, team work, and opportunities for a well rounded life.
