Vintage Capodimonte Porcelain Bisque Figurine Boy on Sledge by Tiche Tosca Italy This is a fabulous Vintage Capodimonte Bisque Figurine of a small Boy draped in a blue cloth on a Sledge (sled) by Tiche Tosca Italy. In Italian the piece is called "Bimbo su slittino da neve". The piece was made in Italy in the 1960's and is handcrafted in a very hard porcelain bisque (a very fine white powder made of kaolin, felspar and white quartz) and hand painted with exquisite and delicate detail. The piece measures approximately 5.5" high by 4.5" wide by 3" in depth and is in excellent vintage condition. It is signed Tyche Tosca on the back of the sledge and has the Capodimonte brand crowned N on the underside. This piece is one of the early original works from Tiche Tosca and only a very few are still in existence. It is a wonderful sculpture.
