Vintage Caro Nan Yellow Handpainted Wooden Basket

Good vintage condition. Extremely clean quilted interior. Burgundy, pink, yellow and green on yellow. Handpainted. Signed lid. Does not have an animal or smoke smell. Caro Nan purses — sturdy New England baskets with handles, lids, latches and hand-painted town scenes — were started in 1965; the fad hit a sales peak at 5,000 one month, before running its course in the early 1980s.
