Vintage Caro-Nan Basket purse 1960's own a peace of history

This purse is just awesome, It's from the 60's there hand painted. Caro Nan purses — sturdy New England baskets with handles, lids, latches and hand-painted town scenes — were started by the Jackson pair back in 1965; the fad hit a sales peak at 5,000 one month, before running its 0course in the early 1980s. Now, about a half-century since its start, the purses return to the spotlight in a temporary exhibit, "Caro Nan: The Women Behind the Baskets," at the ESSE Purse Museum in Little Rock through May 1. McDaniel and Steele are delighted; they're bound for Little Rock for a "Tea and 'Tiques" event at the museum Sunday.
