Pair of Vintage Ceramic Arts Studio Collectable Kissing Dutch Boy & Girl Figurines Precious and wholesome, these vintage ceramic figures are certainly reminiscent of a simpler time! The young man, with his bright blue eyes wide open, goes in to steal a kiss from the pigtailed maiden, demure and mindful, smiling with her eyes closed. Clad in traditional Dutch clothing in creamy shades of yellow and pea green, with brown shoes and hair, the romanic pair appear as young and innocent as the day they were made! Both ceramic statuettes are marked at the bottom with the Ceramic Arts Studio copyright. The Ceramic Arts Studio of Madison, Wisconsin, originally formed in 1940, produced decorative figurines, wall plaques, salt and pepper sets, and head vases from 1942 until its closing in 1956. Its wares were distributed nationally to high-end retailers, such as Marshall Fields and Gumps. Sold together as a pair. Approx 6.5" high Excellent vintage condition. Exceptional!
