This Vintage Christian Dior Rhodium Plated Ladybug on Branch with Crystals Brooch is signed and in beautiful vintage condition. The only noticeable aging is in some of the crystals not as clear. A wonderfully whimsical Vintage Dior Ladybug Brooch. Crafted in rhodium plated metal and set with jet glass and crystal stones. Stunning quality as always from Dior. Signed, c. 1980’s and approximately 4 7/16" long by 5/8" wide. Dior began licensing jewelry in 1948 to accent his popular clothing collections. He was known for showing the same styles of jewelry with sweaters for afternoon wear and, for instance, more formal frocks for evening attire. Ready-to-wear lines of jewelry have been made along with haute couture collections.
