Vintage- 1930s Rare Figural Open Metal Work Pony wearing a saddle and is ready to ride!
It features an amazingly detailed open metal work body with roped embossed patterning, brushed gold look for the saddle and embossed semi-glossy hooves. To boot, and as is the tradition with a single Ruby colored gemstone eye.
Ciner has been called the “Tiffany’s” of Costume Jewelry. He was famous for high quality design, materials and craftsmanship. This brooch was made around the WWII era when Ciner signed all of their pieces ©CINER.
The pin extends beyond the clasp and the materials are consistent with the time period when war efforts required the use of many metals that made jewelry companies get creative. Ciner only used the highest quality gems and is known for their metalwork.
This little pony is 1 3/4” long by 1 7/8” wide and about 1/4” thick with it’s gorgeous 3-dimensional pattern.
This was purchased from the same family that my listed Coro retro bow among other pieces that I have shared with all of you. They were so sweet, sharing their family history and talking to me about the ownership and history of each piece.
