Vintage Circa '40's

This beautiful Jonathan Martin dress was my aunt's. It's a size 9/10, was made in the USA and is 100% polyester. It feels like Silk. She said she bought it to be her USO dress but the war ended and she only wore it twice. She passed it on to me in 1993. I wore it a handful of times to the office. it is an excellent condition, you would not know it was vintage except for the style. Speaking of which... This is a comfortable Wrap dress, with two cloth covered buttons at the waist (see pic), a pocket at each hip and shoulder pads which are original to the dress but not sewn into the shoulders anymore. (looks good with or without shoulder pads). I modeled the dress so you can see what it looks like on and with or without shoulder pads. I am 5' 7" and I wear a size 6 dress. I have a clothespin cinched in back, at the waist so you will get an idea the way it looks as it fits. I totally understand the collectors who will hang it and leave it... but I would buy it to wear it. This dress really is beautiful and classy.
