Vintage, from the late 1980s. No. 959-3739. (Before the serial numbers were systemized). Verified on TPF March 2022 This is a lightweights soft satchel that I've tried unsuccessfully to revive. There were two, the 4055 and the #4060 (which is called the “Large Soft Satchel”, though this one is just called “Soft Satchel”). She has been washed, CPR'd, Blackrock'd, but it still is not that great and I'm low on time and energy. I have this in black and it’s a true go-to bag. If you’re looking for an entry into vintage Coach and learning to rehab (The Purse Forum is a wealth of knowledge on this front), then this bag is for you. She needs more moisturization, brass shined up and the zipper leather pull tab is missing. Seriously, this bag is so light, soft and squishy, but the shape holds and it looks beautiful dressed up or down. Please review the photos. There are obvious ink marks. Besides the above cleaning/moisturizing, I have not attempted to get them out. The bag does not smell (like cigarettes, mold, etc). Could be worn as is if you are cool with ignoring the ink. I mean, I wore it this way and it’s fine. Anyway, I hope someone out there is looking for this bag! I ship same or next day.
