This is the ORIGINAL t-shirt put out by Coco to celebrate his new solo bandleader career after 10 years as lead guitar with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers group. Prior to joining John Mayall, he was with Albert Collins for several years, playing both drums and guitar. I purchased it while at one of his shows in So. Cal. back around 1992-3. If you aren't familiar with Mr. Montoya's work, look him up and listen for a while. I and many others consider him one of the best blues performers and 6-string guitarists of the last 50 years. Definitely right up there with Eric Clapton ! The shirt is labelled a size XL, although it runs small after laundering, and is in excellent shape except for one small run near bottom hem as shown in photo. Own a collector's piece from a famous W.C. Handy Award winner ! Wear it to his next live show !

theowlknows @postalpoly Hi, I'm sorry for the delay; I was 'under the weather' for a bit. The measurements are : 18 1/2" seam to seam across shoulders, 20" across at chest, and 29" from collar to bottom hem. I hope this helps. Ken

postalpoly @theowlknows thank you very much! Coco is a great friend to my husband and I. I will be seeing him at the Tampa Bay blues festival in April. I thought it might be funny to wear this shirt. I think he will be shocked!

theowlknows @postalpoly That sounds great ! We saw him here in Tucson in Jan. 2020, and I couldn't find the shirt in time for my girlfriend to wear it. I used to go to his shows frequently in So. Cal. back in the day when he first went out on his own. Many times he'd have Debbie Davies playing with him, always great shows.

postalpoly @theowlknows yes we’ve seen Debbie many times. Also, we love the blues and love going to concerts.

theowlknows @postalpoly I've been in the Tucson area for about 20 years now, coming from So. Cal. Unfortunately, this is a Blues wasteland, so I mostly rely on my old records and tapes, as well as some great internet blues stations, mostly coming out of Russia. The American stations have too much advertising and not enough music for me. If you're interested in internet blues, check out RadioSure which is free and gives access to 100's of stations from all over the world.

postalpoly @theowlknows wow I find that very interesting! I’ll definitely have to check that out. We have an antique iPod classic that we basically put our CDs on so we have over 10,000 songs. Listening to something like Sirius FM is such a waste.

postalpoly @theowlknows we have been following Coco around forever. We like to surprise him at different venues throughout the United States. We have a home in Maine, Massachusetts, and Florida, so if it works out right, we can go to New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire to his different concerts. We’ve also surprised him in Las Vegas in California.

theowlknows @postalpoly I've been really happy with Radiosure; I think I've probably had that for at least 10 years now. They do list well over 100 or 200 stations, and they tell you what type of music and where in the world it's coming from. The control panel is excellent, even allows you jump forward or back and record, although I've never done that. While I was typing this I turned it on, and Buddy Guy was playing on one of my favorite stations, Radio Caprice. Yeah !

theowlknows Forgot to mention that the Russian stations intersperse Russian blues artists with the American ones, so I've found some great groups like the Blues Cousins. Oh man, they're playing Howlin' Wolf right now ! You never know who's coming up next.
