This silver bracelet is made with a sterling silver Concho. I have added turquoise and silver beads on either side and Vintage Brighton rolo chain with a lobster clasp. It fits up to a size 8 1/2" and is adjustable. The history behind this bracelet is fascinating and I wanted to share it with you. This beautiful Concho came from a vintage belt made by Navajo Silversmith Chester Nez. He was one of the original 29 United States Marine code talkers from WWII. He passed away in 2014 at age 93.
Mr. Nez was the last surviving member of the 29 original Navajo code talkers, who at the urgent behest of the federal government devised an encrypted version of their own language for wartime use. They and the hundreds of Navajos who followed them in battle used that code, with unparalleled success, throughout the Pacific Theater. The code was never broken.
By purchasing this bracelet you are buying a piece of history. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
✨✨✨CARE INSTRUCTIONS: To keep your jewelry shiny and beautiful, please avoid harsh detergents, Swimming pool, seawater and perfume & lotion. Please bear in mind that this Concho is sterling and may occasionally need to be buffed with a soft cloth to keep its shine. Keeping it wrapped in a cloth bag will also protect from tarnishing. Always put your jewelry on last and take it off first.
