Vintage Copper Repousse Ritual Mask Of Mahakala

Made of wrought gilded copper sheet with wire overlays. The face and headdress are jeweled with Tibetan red coral and turquoise beads, and the eyes are carved from bone. Holes were cut into the bone forming each pupil. The teeth are made of a white stone, maybe jade or quartz. The third eye is onyx. The mask is 9″ tall by 10.5”wide (and from widest points) and approx 1″ at the deepest point. Hand hammered construction from the back. Set in a lightly distressed golden finish beveled edge wooden shadow box frame with the following measurements: Length: 20.5” Width: 17.5” Depth: 3” The mask is from the 19th or early 20th century. Condition: Vintage piece. Sells in used, pre-owned condition. Vintage and antique items by nature have variable amounts of wear, imperfections, signs of use, age and time. Perfectly imperfect. Condition shown as in pictures. The frame has a chip on the top right that measure about 1.5”, but it can be easily fixed.
