Vintage Coro Gold-tone Leaf Brooch

Coro jewelry was founded in New York by Cohn & Rosenberg around 1902 & incorporated in 1913. While neither men were designers they knew how to hire talented designers. Francois wan one such designer. He was known for his floral brooch designs. I believe this was on inspired by him. Great Britain mechanical patents have been found in the name of Corocraft from 1961-69. As they grew they opened factories in Providence, RI and Canada. The US Coro closed in 1979 and the Canadian branch in the early 1990’s. This is one of the Coro leaf collection. Coro created several different leaf peices. This brooch is marked Coro 1961 It measures 3" x 1"
