Vintage Couture "Rio" Dress Claude Riha Paris

This vintage (the 1980s) couture dress was designed by Claude Riha for Avenue Montaigne in Paris. The one-shoulder black dress is in the "Rio" style, with sequined lace overlay on the body of the dress with a taffeta shoulder bow and ruffled layers at the hem. It is a size 6 with a bust and hip measurement of 32 inches, a waist of 24 inches, and a shoulder-to-hem length of 58 inches. The dress was stored after dry cleaning in a dust bag and archival tissue paper in the bow. The dress is in perfect condition (no stains, fading, tears, or loose sequins) with a working zipper. It also comes with a vintage Paul-Louis Orrier 27 1/2-inch taffeta belt with a bow that can be worn on the dress if desired. The two were never attached. These have been in pet and smoke-free home for the past 40 years.
