Vintage Cuff Bracelet from India 7.85 inches around

I am doing some work for a friend who is a jeweler. He has taken in items over the years as trades and it is time to sell. This piece came from a woman who worked in a high end retail store in NYC for decades. She traveled a lot. We assume this came from her travels. It has a very interesting design. There are 2 that came from India. This one and another. The metal appears to be brass. The inlay is hard to ID so no guesses on that. It opens up on one side with a pin that makes it easy to get on and off. This was probably purchased in the 1970s.
