Vintage Damascene Toledoware Floral and Faux Pearl Brooch Pin. This is such a pretty Brooch, and in Fantastic condition! Gold tone color is almost prestine! Features 4 faux pearls set amongst swirled stems to accent the Damascene detail styled flower and leaf. I have come across several other pieces that match the exact style (craftsmanship) of this piece (different designs) marked Spain. However, this piece is unmarked, so I am wondering if this particular Brooch was apart of a set where other pieces were marked, or if this one just passed through without the Origin stamp. (I don't see any areas where it *could have been marked, but worn away) Attempting to date these pieces is sort of all over the place. Most common considered date rage is 1960's but I will say- This particular Brooch has a significantly extended pin bar (usually suggests earlier dating) as well as a "roll-over" style safety catch which was popularly used in the 30's and 40's 1 call-out to note- One of the "Pearls" (to the side of the leaf) has a scratch. You really can only see it close-up. (See photos) Please see photos/video for best description, condition, and measurements. *Photos have been enlarged to show detail. V2406B0601
